Ab heute ist das neue Dragonball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi für PS3 und XBox 360 im Handel.

Hier das Opening:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO6y4OovfDw

Dragon Ball Z Kai to Continue Overseas — Krillin's VA
Krillin's voice actress Mayumi Tanaka, reported on her blog that she is recording more dialogues for Dragon Ball Z Kai. She stated that the series will continue to air overseas, but not airing in Japan.

Tanaka revealed that she and the other cast members were recording the scene in Tenka'ichi Budōkai where Goten and Trunks sneak into the adults section by standing one on top of the other.

Dragon Ball Z Kai is the HDTV remaster of the original 1989-1996 Dragon Ball Z anime series, and it follows closely the original manga by Akira Toriyama. It ended last March 2011, at the end of the Cell Saga.

“Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” Film Summary Posted
Bild
TOEI Animation had revealed the summaty for the upcoming Dragon Ball film, “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods”. The 2013 movie will take place during the manga's "lost decade".

The movie took place a few years after the fiery battle against Majin Buu. The God of Destruction Bils, who maintains the balance of the universe, awakens from a long inactivity. Hearing rumors that it's a Saiyan who defeated Frieza, Bils tracks down Goku. Ignoring King Kai's advises to avoid a battle, Goku excitedly fights a new opponent that has appeared after many years.

Unfortunately, Goku is no match for The God of Destruction's overwhelming power and is defeated. Bils leaves and asked, “Is there is anyone on Earth more worthy to destroy?” Will Goku and the Z Warriors really be able to stop the God of Destruction?!

“Battle of Gods” will be directed by Masahiro Hosoda (Dragon Ball Z episode director) at TOEI, and written by Yuusuke Watanabe (20th Century Boys, Gantz), with Tadayoshi Yamamuro (Dragon Ball: The Path to Power, Beet the Vandel Buster) acting as the lead animation director.

New Dragon Ball Z Movie to Feature A Form Beyond Super Saiyan 3 That is Not Super Saiyan 4!

39 years ago, the Oracle Fish (voiced by Shoko Nakagawa) told God of Destruction Bills, the film's main antagonist that, implicitly beyond a Super Saiyan 3 is a Super Saiyan God! It's the legendary form of the universe's most powerful warriors.

Take note, the movie is part of the official Dragon Ball Z mythos as this movie is written by Akira Toriyama and it takes place before the last episode of the original Dragon Ball Z anime.

Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods Spoilers
Bild
Dragon Ball website Kanzenshuu had posted some spoilers from the preview screening of the upcoming “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” film. The spoilers include Son Goku's acquisition of Super Saiyan God!

The Super Saiyan God is a legendary form of the Saiyans that requires the power of six pure-hearted Saiyans. “Super Saiyan God” had appeared on Planet Vegeta once before to stop evil Saiyans, but he failed due to the form’s time limit. Goku with the help of other five Saiyans — Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Goten, and the baby inside Videl (Pan) — achieved this form.
Bild
Super Saiyan God Son Goku's appearance is similar to that of the above, with a red aura surrounding him. Due to its time limit, Goku returns to Super Saiyan mode but is now able to use the form's "godlike" power.

Although claimed by Bils that Wis is a martial artist and more powerful than him, the latter didn't join the fight. The God of Destruction also reveals that there are actually “12 universes”, and what we see in the TV series is but one of them.

DBZ 2013 Movie Villain Name Puns Revealed
Bild
The Dragon Ball franchise is best known for naming characters based on food. That is why it is no surprise that fans are wondering what food the primary antagonists for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods are named upon.

In an interview with script writer Yusuke Watanabe, he reveals that the Birusu is based on the German pronunciation of the word "virus". Same goes with Uisu, which is the Japanese pronunciation of "virus". What's interesting is that Dragon Ball creator Akira Toriyama was the one who named Uisu!

Akira Toriyama's Thoughts About Dragonball Evolution
Bild
Most of us here hated the Hollywood adaptation of Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga (less some elements), most of us wondered what Toriyama thinks about the live-action movie adaptation.

In an interview with Asahi, Toriyama talked about his thoughts about Dragonball Evolution. I quote, "At the time of the live-action Hollywood version, the script didn't really capture the world or the characteristics (of Dragon Ball). What's more, because I thought the content was bland and not so interesting, I cautioned them and gave them ideas for changes."

"Nevertheless," Toriyama continued, "they had this odd confidence and didn't really comply with my suggestions. And just as I thought, the result was a movie I cannot call Dragon Ball."
