Kyoryuger: KyoryuGrey, Bunpachy Revealed

After lots of waiting, the latest Japanese magazines had officially revealed the appearance of the new member of the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger team, KyoryuGrey (played by Boukenger's Masayuki Deai) and his partner, Bunpachy.

KyoryuGrey is Te Sai, the "Violent Hero" from 1500 years ago. He was from a clan that mastered the Iron-Breaking Fist (Tessai-Ken), and is here to teach the Kyoryuger's the said technique and strengthen their body. His finishing move or favorite skill is the Violent Charge (Gekiretsu Toppa).

His partner is Bunpachy, a Pachycephalosaurus. It can can combine with Gabutyra and Ankydon to form Kyoryuzin Kung-Fu.

KyoryuGrey will debut in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Brave 17: “It's Serious! KyoryuGrey”, which will air on June 9th.

Lastly, as seen in the preview for next week's episode, KyoryuBlack will be utilizing the Beast Battery #12 Deinosgrander to help his team who were trapped underground. Deinosgrander gave him dual fang-line weapons, similar to that of the Zyuden Arms.

Magazine Previews Kyoryuger's Tobaspino, Pleson, New Warrior

Along with the images for Bunpachy and KyoryuGrey, silhouettes of the new Zyudenryus and a new member of the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger have been released. They are Pleson and the one rumored to be called KyoryuViolet, and the movie exclusive Tobaspino.

Pleson will be a violet & white colored plesiosaurus. It has three modes: dinosaur mode (probably its default mode), a rocket mode, and a humanoid mecha form called PlesOh, which can be utilized via "Rocket Transformation". Pleson can combine with Bunpachy to form Pleson Bunpachy. Add Gabutyra to the formation to form Exploding Kyoryuzin.

Meanwhile, the Zyudenryu 00 Tobaspino resembles a recolored (blue & yellow) Gabutyra but with a fin at the back to become a spinosaurus. It that can be combined to Ankydon and Bunpachy, to form SpinodaiOh. Tobaspino also have a partner Kyoryuger.

Was mir an den Spirit Rangers besonders gefällt ist das sie öfter auftauchen als ein oder zwei mal aber immer noch selten genug is das es zu was besonderem wird und sie nicht die Aufmerksamkeit vom Main Cast weg nehmen.

Hm, einen Cameo-Auftritt fände ich auch ganz interessant. Wobei ich Takanashi Rin (Mako) für unwahrscheinlich halte, weil sie, wie Go-On Black sagte, "zu neu" ist. Außerdem wirkt sie mir recht beschäftigt. Ich kann zwar kein Japanisch, aber ich gucke ja des öfteren auf ihrem Blog vorbei und ich glaube sie hat relativ viele Jobs zur Zeit.

Nao war auch eher wunschdenken von meiner Seite, sie sollte ja ursprünglich in Kyoryu sein hat aber abgesagt. Wenn ne Art Trend im Casting zu erkennen wäre könnte ich genauer was sagen ansonsten fall ich mal aufs Wunschdenken zurück und würde gerne Houka wiedersehen. Ihr Cameo in Gokaiger war zwar nice aber ich würde gerne mehr von ihr sehen.

Houka kann man auch knicken. Ayumi Beppu hat damals gesagt, dass sie nach Magiranger kein Super Sentai mehr machen will. Der Gastauftritt in Gokaiger war wohl nur drin, weil sie dort eben nochmal als Houka dabei war.

Kyoryuger's "Gaburincho of Music" Logo, Guest Stars Revealed

Above is the preview image of the logo for this year's Super Sentai summer film Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger The Movie: Gaburincho of Music. Additionally, the film will also feature gravure idol guest stars who previously made appearances in tokusatsu.

The three female guest stars are Misaki Momose (The Ancient Dogoo Girls V), Shizuka Nakamura (Tomica Hero Rescue Fire), and Minami Tsukui (Kamen Rider W). Earlier this month, TOEI is looking for extras to perform the show's ending theme.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music will feature the Zyudenryu #00 Tobaspino, a new combination to be called SpinodaiOh, and a new Kyoryuger hero. The musical written by Riku Sanjo and directed by Koichi Sakamoto premieres August 3rd.

Voice Actor Shigeru Chiba is Filming for ◎◎ger

Voice actor Shigeru Chiba revealed via Twitter that he is filming for "◎◎ger". He is currently the narrator of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger and has a history of voicing characters in the Super Sentai franchise.

He later tweeted that he is done filming his transformation scene and that he will film again tomorrow. It is likely that it has something to do with Kyoryuger.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Pilot DC Announced
Japanese online retailer Amiami started taking pre-orders for the home video release of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Pilot DC Edition. It contains the director's cut version of the first episodes, with a total running time of 120 minutes!

In the ancient times, dinosaurs ruled the Earth. But due to extinction, they disappear from history. The modern humans now face a new crisis. The mysterious organization, the Deboss Army and its Zori Demon appeared and began attacking people. As the world faces dangers, Daigo Kiryu, a young man from the island on the southern seas, boldly confronts the enemies!

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Pilot DC Edition will be available in both Blu-Ray and DVD, for 6960 yen and 5710 yen respectively. It will be released on September.

Kyoryuger Summer Movie Plot Revealed

The official Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger movie website made some updates, which includes the plot for the upcoming movie entitled, "Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music". The movie will premiere this August 3rd.

Super idol Mikoto "Meeko" Amano's (played by Shizuka Nakamura) concert is crowded with Zorima. Fortunately, the Kyoryugers arrived to save the day. We then learned that Daigo and Meeko already met in France!

Before they can catch up, the ancient knight Deathryuger aka D, appears and kidnaps her. D's goal is to use the secret legendary battery, labeled with a zero, to take control of the mysterious Tobaspino.

Mamoru Miyano (Ultraman Zero, Gundam 00's Setsuna F. Seiei) will voice an unknown character.

This Super Sentai musical movie will premiere this August 3rd and is directed by Koichi Sakamoto and written by Riku Sanjou.

The 16th episode of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger showed a preview of the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music movie! The featured the first image of Tobaspino's Kyoryuger partner, KyoryuNavy!

Besides KyoryuNavy are two of the guest stars of the said movie. The guest stars that will appear in the movie are: Misaki Momose (The Ancient Dogoo Girls V), Shizuka Nakamura (Tomica Hero Rescue Fire) and Minami Tsukui (Kamen Rider W). His partner, Tobaspino can combine with Ankydon and Bunpachy to form the SpinoDaioh!

Kyoryuger the Movie: Guest Character Info, Songs Revealed
More info about the characters that will appear in the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music movie has surfaced online. The new info also clarified that the new Kyoryuger is not called KyoryuNavy like what we previously reported.

Mikoto "Meeko" Amano (played by Shizuka Nakamura) is a direct descendant of an ancient superhuman race. She inherited a special power that can be activated through song. With this power, she can awaken the hidden Zyudenryu, Tobaspino.

Deathryuger aka D (voiced by Mamoru Miyamo) is an evil Kyoryuger and is Tobaspino's partner, albeit forced. His weapon is a boomerang-shaped magic flute. He disrupts justice with his evil and dark tunes. In the movie, he kidnaps Meeko to force her into reviving Tobaspino.

Lamunea (played by Misaki Momose) is a DinoGirl working for D. She always speaks in a cutesy manner and fights without weapons. Her name comes from the Japanese word "mune" which means chest.

Ashy (played by Minami Tsukui) is also a DinoGirl working for D. She is dressed in black and is the "sexier" one out of the two DinoGirls. Her fighting style is based around kicking and swordplay. Her name comes from the word "ashi" meaning leg.

In addition, 8 songs are confirmed to be performed in this Super Sentai movie musical. Here are some of the songs in the upcoming movie:

-Dino Soul performed by Shizuka Nakamura (Meeko); written by Riku Sanjou
-Snapping Brave by Daiki Ise
-Tremble With Fear~Theme of D~ by Kimeru
-The Heart of the Cracked World by Haruka Tomatsu, Yu Mizushima and Ai Orikasa (Canderrilla, Aigallon, Luckyuro)

go-busters haben mich eigentlich ziemlich enttäuscht und in meinen augen waren die shinkenger in den letzten jahren die beste sentai serie nach dekaranger.

ich hoffe dass die aktuelle serie wieder eine spannende story bietet.

Kyoryuger ist auf jeden fal eine sehr unterhaltsame Serie. Sie ist nich unbedingt so ernst wie Shinkenger aber sie ist weit davon entfernt etwas zu sein wie Go-Onger.
Es bietet nen sehr guten mix von ernsthaftem Drama und Comedy was vor allem dadurch kommt das Riku Sanjo der Autor von Kamen Rider Double hier am werk ist.

KYORYUGER RUMOR: Dark Species Deboth Revival
A new rumor for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger has surfaced online in regards to the show's enemy organization, the Deboth Legion. Said rumor has something to do with their leader, Dark Species Deboth.

Take this rumor with a grain of salt.

Dark Species Deboth is being revived around July, and at the same time, the plot of the series is going to pick up pace.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Director's Cut: BRAVE PRELUDE New Details
CDJapan has began taking pre-orders for the previously announced Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Director's Cut: BRAVE PRELUDE. This edition contains the Director's Cut version episodes 1-4 of the series, which will run for 106 minutes!

The Director's Cut contains 15 minutes of unreleased scenes and is written by Riku Sanjou and directed by Koichi Sakamoto. The release also comes with the following special features: ending dance video, creditless ending, solo version of ending and audio commentary.

The Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Director's Cut: BRAVE PRELUDE will be released this September 13, 2013.

Rumors: Shigeru Chiba is KyoryuViolet?

The month of July would be the debut of the new Kyoryuger hero and his partner Zyudenryu, "KyoryuViolet" and Plezuon. Days before the publication of the new TV magazine, rumors about his identity in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger started to spread...

KyoryuViolet (or Purple) is rumored to be Doctor Ulshade, played by no other than the series' narrator, Shigeru Chiba. He was conducting research on an asteroid the Deboth Army partially destroyed. He was the first to fight alongside Torin in the modern age. Additionally, he's the one who invented the Gabrevolvers and Zyuden Arms to be used by the modern Kyoryugers.

But why is he not with Torin and the Kyoryugers? It is said that he left the team to have a peaceful and quiet life.

[Mega Ranger]

Ich habe mir bisher alle Episoden von Kyoryuger angesehen, mir gefallen die Charaktere soweit echt gut. Es ist eine lebendigere Stimmung als bei Go-Buster.

Das schon wieder Dinosaurier als Thema genommen wurden, finde ich einfallslos. Die Waffen und Suits sind cool. Aber über die Mechas rede ich mal lieber nicht... Einfach schlecht in Szene gesetzt, desweiteren stört mich, dass der Mecha eines Fünfer-Teams aus nur 3 besteht und mit Schwarz und Grün kaum Kombos vorkommen.

Das Gleiche wie mit Ankydon, der im Prinzip auch nicht wirklich viel Screentime hat. Sehr gut ist halt, dass es mehr als 6 Rangers gibt. Leider hat man Kyoryucyan noch nicht groß in Aktion gesehen. Kyoryugrey kämpft ja mal kurz gegen Red laut Vorschau auf Episode 18. Bei den Farben bin ich mir nicht sicher, wie ich das so auffassen soll. Im Prinzip sind Hurricane- und Ninjablue dann ja auch Cyan? Grau ist auch als silber bekannt, interessant was passiert wenn man den Glanz beim Spandex weglässt...

Allerdings 10 Rangers und davon 9 männlich, geht's noch? Ich meine wir leben im 21. Jahrhundert und wenn man mit Dekaranger vergleicht, wo die Anzahl zwischen männlichenund weiblichen Rangers so ziemlich gleich war, finde ich das von Kyoryuger schon ziemlich schwach. Mich hat das schon bei Go-Buster enorm gestört, nur ein Girl zu haben. Ich weiß nicht, Sentai gehen einfach die Ideen aus und es entwickelt sich eher zurück als vorwärts in vielen Punkten. Es wird meiner Meinung nach, einfach Zeit für eine Pause.

Vielleicht ist ein Metal Hero Revival gar nicht mal verkehrt. Lassen wir uns mal überraschen was noch in Kyoryuger alles kommt.

Edit: Ich habe total vergessen, dass noch ein silberner Ranger kommen wird. Ich hoffe der ist dann weiblich. Plezon ist gar nicht der letzte Zyudenryu. Aber witzig, dass es insgesamt 11 Rangers sind mit Deathryuger.

Magazine Previews KyoryuRed Carnival

Along with the information on KyoryuViolet, the latest issue of TV-kun Magazine had also published the silhouette of KyoryuRed Carnival, a KyoryuRed exclusive upgrade form. As the preview suggests, it is expected to debut on the August episodes of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger.

Seen in earlier scans, KyoryuRed Carnival can be accessed via the Gabutyra DeCarnival that can be combined with the Gaburevolver. It resembles an SD (super deformed) Gabutyra that can transform into a gun. By using 3 Beast Batteries, KyoryuRed Carnival can acquire various attachments similar to that of the Kyoryuzin. This include Western Carnival, Macho Carnival and Kung-Fu Carnival.

Kyoryuger: KyoryuViolet, Plezuon Unveiled

The Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger rumors we got a few days ago are indeed right! Shigeru Chiba, the series narrator, will be joining the team as the newest Kyoryuger that will make an appearance in the coming July episodes.

KyoryuViolet is Doctor Ulshade, played by no other than the series' narrator, Shigeru Chiba. He went off-world to conduct research on an asteroid the Deboth Army came with. The show will feature him as he return from researching and now planning to retire as a Kyoryuger.

He was the first to fight alongside Torin in the modern age, and also the one who invented the Gabrevolvers and Zyuden Arms to be used by the modern Kyoryugers, with the help of Yayoi (played by Marie Itoyo), his granddaughter.




Plezuon will be a violet & white colored plesiosaurus. It has three modes: dinosaur mode, a rocket mode, and a humanoid mecha form called Plezu-Oh, which can be utilized via "Rocket Transformation". Plezuon can combine with Bunpachy to form Plezuon Bunpachy. Add Gabutyra to the formation to form Exploding Kyoryuzin.

Meanwhile, the Deboth's leader, the Dark Species Deboth will be revived in the 22nd episode “It can't be! Deboth Revived”. But it will still be incomplete.

Lastly, the image above shows a few scenes from the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Special DVD that will be released in the coming months. It will feature KyoryuRed with KyoryuGold, KyoryuBlue and the Spirit Rangers KyoryuCyan and KyoryuGrey.

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger DVD Special Revealed
Aside from KyoryuViolet and more images coming from the upcoming move, the magazine also revealed that Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger will also have a special DVD special!


This DVD special features the 9 Kyoryugers and features a team-up of the Spirit Rangers with the currently living Kyoryugers. Seen in the scan above is KyoryuRed and Gold teaming up with KyoryuCyan and Grey. Lastly, this DVD special will feature a new weapon based on Plezuon!

Coming with the information on KyoryuViolet, new images of Deathryuger and the first few shots of TobaSpino had been published in the latest issue of TV-kun Magazine. Both will be making their appearance in the Super Sentai summer film “Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger The Movie: Gaburincho of Music”.

Deathryuger (CV: Mamoru Miyano) is an evil Kyoryuger and forced Tobaspino to become his partner. Deboth's insignia can be seen in Tobaspino's Beast Battery. His weapon is a boomerang-shaped magic flute called Flute Buster. He also have his own motorcycle called D-Racer. He disrupts justice with his evil and dark tunes. He have two "Dino Girls", Lamunea (misaki Momose) and Ashy.

The Zyudenryu 00 Tobaspino is a blue and yellow-colored spinosaurus. It that can be combined to Ankydon and Bunpachy via D's command "Forced Snapping Combination" (kyosei kamitsuki gattai), to form SpinodaiOh. In the image, you can see SpinodaiOh against Raiden Kyoryuzin.
