KyoryuGold Update: Ucchii and King

The latest issues of Hyper Hobby and Uchusen magazines revealed new info about Maru Utsusemi aka KyoryuGold, who is set to make his debut in Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger this April.

Maru once work for a lord named Takebenosuke Iwazumi back in the Sengoku era. His lord looked exactly like Daigo. Amy calls him Ucchii and he won't be joining the team as a full time member until he sees Daigo worthy to be called his new lord. In terms of skill, Maru is a better marksman and swordsman than Ian and Souji.

As of this writing, series head writer Riku Sanjou has written 16 episodes of the said series. It was previously reported that he plans to write the series all by himself.

Stimmt, an JAKQ und Battle Fever hab ich nicht mehr gedacht.

Ich bin ja echt mal gespannt, ob Riku Sanjou wirklich die komplette Serie alleine schreibt. Ein einzelner Autor hat schließlich den Vorteil, dass die Serie dann wie aus einem Guss wirkt und sich dadurch vielleicht die Story besser entwickelt, als wenn mehrere Autoren mal hier und mal da eine Episode beisteuern (also es mehr zusammenhanglose Einzelepisoden gibt).

KyoryuGold's Suit Actor Identified

Because KyoryuGold will debut this month, some hardcore Super Sentai fans wondered who will be his suit actor. The official Japan Action Enterprise (JAE) page made some updates, which revealed the name of his suit actor.

Veteran Super Sentai suit actor Naoki Ofuji will play KyoryuGold in suit. He is best known as the suit actor of Black Condor, RyuuRanger, King Ranger and Go-On Gold.

Kyoryuger Rumor: Pleson & KyoryuRed Upgrade Revealed?

A new rumor on the next batch Zyudenryu for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger had surfaced. Pleson is a plesiosaurus-type mecha that is a member of the 10 Great Zyudenryu. Along with the rumor from its alleged toy catalog, a KyoryuRed power-up is said to be revealed!

Please take these rumors with a grain of salt!



According to rumors, Pleson will be a violet & white colored plesiosaurus. It has three modes: dinosaur mode (probably its default mode), a "battleship" mode, and a humanoid mecha form called PlesOh, which can be utilized via "Rocket Transformation". Pleson can also combine with Gabutyra and Bunpachy to form Exploding Kyoryuzin. To be released on July.

If you had already listened to the ending theme “Minna Atsumare! Kyoryuger”, Tobaspino will be familiar to you as it is the last Zyudenryu to be mentioned. Instead of being numbered as Beast Battery #24, it is said to be labeled as Beast Battery #00 and rumored to be a movie exclusive. Tobaspino is said to be a recolored (blue & yellow) Gabutyra that can be combined to Ankydon and Bunpachy, to form SpinodaiOh. To be released on August.

And lastly, an upgrade for KyoryuRed was allegedly seen. It will be called KyoryuRed Carnival which can be accessed via Gabutyra DoCarnival that can be combined with the Gaburevolver. It is said to resemble an SD (super deformed) Gabutyra that can transform into a gun. To be released on September.

Upcoming Kyoryuger Mecha Formations Previewed



A catalog for an upcoming new releases of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger gashapon or candy toys had previewed three of its new formations with two of the soon-to-be acquired Zyudenryu, Bunpachy and KyoryuGold's partner Pteragordon. Both are part of the 10 Great Zyudenryu.

First up is Kyoryuzin Kung-Fu, a combination of Gabutyra, Ankydon, and soon-to-be acquired Beast Battery #08 Bunpachy. Next is Raiden Kyoryuzin, a combination of Kyoryuzin and KyoryuGold's Pteragordon. And lastly, Pteraiden-Oh Western is a combination of Pteragordon, Zakutor and Parasagun.

KyoryuGold and Pteragordon is slated to debut this month of April, so watch out for that!

The latest issue of Hyper Hobby Magazine had published the episode titles for the upcoming April episodes of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. The episode titles suggests the debut of the 6th Zyudenryu Pteragodon and its partner, KyoryuGold.

Brave 8: Where is this? Bust through the Labyrinth! (04/07)
Nobuharu heads to the amusement park to be with his sister and niece, but his brother-in-law, Yuko's husband, and Rika's father, Kenichi, appears! How can a man who's supposed to be dead, be alive?

Brave 9: So Strong! Pteraidenoh! (04/14)
With Dogold carrying out a "Deboss In" via the corrupted Beast Battery, a manipulated Pteragoudon appears before the Kyoryuger as an enemy. Under Dogold's command, Pteragoudon performs "Kaminari Henkei" and stands against Kyouryujin as the powerful PteraidenOh.

Brave 10: Thunder! Gold’s Revival! (04/21)
After an intense battle between the Kyoryuger and the Deboss Legion, Torin's strategy finally ends in KyoryuGold's "resurrection"! However, the newly awakened Utsusemimaru leaves suddenly, claiming that he's "not their friend, and won't become one until Daigo proves to him he can be a suitable Lord." Utsusemimaru's real intentions become clear after Brave 11!

Brave 11: Ucchi! I am Cool! (04/28)

KyoryuGold will be the 6th member of the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger. His transformation device will be called the GabriChanger, with his personal side-weapon is the Zander Thunder.

His partner is the 6th Zyudenryu , Pteragodon, that will transform (Kaminari Henkei, Thunder Transformation) into Pteraiden-Oh. It can combine with Parasagun and Zactor to form Pteraiden-Oh Western, and to Kyoryuzin to form RaidenKyoryuzin.

Kyoryuger: KyoryuGold and Pteragordon Additional Details

Earlier than most 6th warriors, KyoryuGold will make a brief appearance starting at Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's 8th Brave. He is an ancient warrior from 400 years ago, and helped fight the Deboss Legion during the Warring States period in Japan.

KyoryuGold, Utsusemimaru, fought with Torin during his time, but fell on a Deboss trap, orchestrated by Dogold, and was never seen again and presumed dead. In his time, he served under a lord who looks exactly like Daigo, as such, he will not accept Daigo as a leader or join the team until Daigo proves himself a worthy Lord.

Utsusemimaru transforms to KyoryuGold by using the Beast Battery #6 Pteragordon on his Gaburichanger, a wrist-mounted transformation device, as opposed to the core team's Gabrevolver. He fights with the ZanderThunder, a "Sword that Calls Thunder", and his finishing move is the "Raiden Zankou" (Thunder and Lighting Afterglow).

It is noted that he is better than Souji and Ian in terms of swordsmanship and marksmanship. In addition, Amy calls him "Ucchi".

As seen in the previous episode, Deboss Legion's Chaos uses the DeboMonster to keep the Kyoryugers at bay while he steal the 6th Zyudenryu, Pteragordon. Even though, the Deboss shouldn't be able to pour their spirits into a Beast Batteries. It can transform to PteraidenOh, fighting via the "Cutters" it bears on its arms, causing thunderstrikes.

Its Beast Battery is now in the hands of Dogold, with the Deboss symbol replacing the Zyudenryu's silhouette. When Dogold performs "Deboss In", Evil Spirit is transmitted into PteraidenOh, corrupting its form, complete with a visor and a jet-black mantle around its' body.

With one of the 10 Great Zyudenchi is in the hands of the enemy, can they fight properly to take back what's rightfully theirs?

Kyoryuger Rumors: Tobaspino Has a Partner?!

More rumors about Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's mecha, and some of the heroes has surfaced online. Most of these rumors are related to Tobaspino, the mysterious Voltasaur that is said to appear in the summer movie.

Take these rumors with a grain of salt.

Tobaspino is said to have a partner with a blue and gold color scheme in its suit. In addition, the SpinoDaioh mecha combination composed of Tobaspino, Bunpachy and Ankydon will have a shield boomerang for a weapon found in the mecha's back-fin.

Plesoh, Pleson's mecha form can combine with Bunpachy. Lastly, KyoryuRed's rumored power-up form called KyoryuRed Carnival can allow him to gain access to all "robo forms" (Western, Macho, etc.). His arms actually change via these form changes.

Kyoryuger vs Zyudenryu, More KyoryuGold

New images for the ongoing Super Sentai series, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger shows a preview on how the Kyoryugers beat their respective Zyudenryu, which was not shown apart from the Daigo vs Gabutyra fight. This should be featured in the upcoming episodes.

Additionally, the image below confirms the appearance of Candelila's voice actress Haruka Tomatsu (Sword Art Online's Asuna/Les Miserables' Audrey) as her human form. According to previous information, in the said episode, Tomatsu will be appearing as an idol, singing to control people.

And of course, more images of Utsusemimaru/KyoryuGold that will debut next week! An image of his previous Lord, which greatly resembles Daigo.

First Look at Kyoryuger's Upgrade Form: KyoryuRed Carnival



After the revelation of Pleson and Tobaspino earlier today, here are the new toy catalog images featuring the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger upgraded form, that is said to be used by KyoryuRed only. It will be called KyoryuRed Carnival!



KyoryuRed Carnival can be accessed via the Gabutyra DeCarnival that can be combined with the Gaburevolver. It resembles an SD (super deformed) Gabutyra that can transform into a gun. Sentai Hero Series 07 Kyoryured Carnival will be released this August for 900 yen while the Gabutyra DeCarnival is set to release this September at 6,800 yen.

By using 3 Beast Batteries, KyoryuRed Carnival can acquire various attachments similar to that of the Kyoryuzin. This include Western Carnival, Macho Carnival and Kung-Fu Carnival.



And what's a collectible if you don't have a place to store it? The bright minds at Bandai announced the upcoming release of Zyuden BraveBox, where you can store your Beast Batteries. Slated for July release, for 3900 yen.

Kyoryuger: Pleson, Tobaspino Revealed

The latest batch of toy catalogs for Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger features two new Zyudenryus, Pleson and the movie exclusive, Tobaspino. And it seems that this confirms the rumors and sketches we previously reported! More after the jump!

Pleson will be a violet & white colored plesiosaurus. A Closer Look at KyoryuRed Carnival

A new image for the 3rd quarter Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger toy catalogs shows another good look at the 37th Super Sentai series' upgraded form, KyoryuRed Carnival. And as we all can see, it's exclusive to KyoryuRed only.

Seen in earlier scans, KyoryuRed Carnival can be accessed via the Gabutyra DeCarnival that can be combined with the Gaburevolver. It resembles an SD (super deformed) Gabutyra that can transform into a gun. By using 3 Beast Batteries, KyoryuRed Carnival can acquire various attachments similar to that of the Kyoryuzin. This include Western Carnival, Macho Carnival and Kung-Fu Carnival.

Kyoryuger: First Look at Raiden Kyoryuzin

The new image shows us the preview on Raiden Kyoryuzin, a combination of the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's main robo, the Kyoryuzin and KyoryuGold's PteraidenOh. Instead of all the Zyudenchi combining, only four of them combines to form the combination.

Debut episode is yet to be revealed. More information will be revealed on a later date.

Bunpachy, New Kyoryuger Previewed

The latest issue of TV-kun magazine had published a silhouette on what we would expect in Zyuden Senbtai Kyoryuger for the month of June. Shown in the preview are no other than Zyudenryu #8 Bunpachy, and his partner, who would most likely be called KyoryuGrey.

Bunpachy can combine with Gabutyra and Ankydon to form Kyoryuzin Kung-Fu. Apart from these, no other information were available as of writing, including the appearance and actor who will play as the new hero.

Kyoryuger Rumor: KyoryuGrey's Actor

The rumor of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's 8th Hero, KyoryuGrey has surfaced online. According to the said rumor, Jouji Shibue will play the role of this hero.

The identity of KyoryuGrey and if he will appear in Spirit form is still unknown as of this writing. Shibue played the role of Kamen Rider Ibuki in the Kamen Rider Hibiki TV series. KyoryuGrey and his partner, Bunpachy is said to make their series debut this June.

Kyoryuger: The Samurai and His Teacher

As we have witnessed in the 11th episode of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger, Amy teaches Utsusemimaru about the present time. In the upcoming episodes, she continues to teach him, while keeping a cold front to the others! Meanwhile, here are the episode titles for the month of May.

While cheering on young boy Tsuyoshi at a Children's Day sumo tournament, Debo Tangosekku attacks, and during the attack, Utsusemimaru sees someone from his past in Tsuyoshi's actions. This also marks the debut of Raiden Kyoryuzin.

Kyoryuger: Raiden Kyoryuzin Additional Images Posted
ast Friday, we got our first look at the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger and KyoryuGold's combination mecha, the Raiden Kyoryuzin. Here are additional images of the mecha, and of course, more things that we can expect from the Kyoryuger's May episodes.

Raiden Kyoryuzin is a combination of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's main robo, the Kyoryuzin and KyoryuGold's PteraidenOh. Instead of all the Zyudenchi combining, only four of them are part of the combination.

Although Pteragordon can transform on it own, the PteraidenOh, the arms can be changed by any "arm attachment" Zyudenryu. Seen above is PteraidenOh Western, which combines with Zakutor and Parasagun, and PteraidenOh + Ankydon.

Above is an image showing the Kyoryugers doing more Beast Battery combinations and exchanges. For example, by using #5 Dricera and #6 Pteragordon, KyoryuPink can shoot electrified drilling bullets, and using #6 Pteragordon on the Gabricalibur, KyoryuGreen can do electric slashes.

Finally becoming an actual member of the Kyoryugers, KyoryuGold can now do combination finisher with his five teammates. In the image above, KyoryuGold is seen riding the Kentrospiker to perform their finishing attack!

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Special DVD Previewed

TOEI started streaming a promotional video for the upcoming Kyoryuger & Super Sentai: It's Getting Wild! Dinosaur Encyclopedia DVD to be included in the June issue of TV Magazine. Though it mainly focuses on the current series, it will also feature past series who used the "dinosaur" theme.

The special DVD includes an in depth look at the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger's abilities, suits, weapons and armaments, and of course, the Beast Batteries (which will be featured individually at the Beast Battery Encyclopedia). Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger Film Title Announced

The title of this year's Super Sentai summer film was finally been revealed! To be entitled Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music, it will be a musical film which will feature hundreds of extras performing the show's ending theme.

TOEI had invited 600 extras, whom the participants already received a part of the script for the dance scene. According to Henshin Justice, the scene is said feature plenty of beautiful women, with chests popping out and legs revealed. This is a kid's show, right?

Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger: Gaburincho of Music will feature the Zyudenryu #00 Tobaspino, a new combination to be called SpinodaiOh, and a new Kyoryuger hero. The film premieres August 3rd.

Habe jetzt auch die Debüt Folge von Kyoryu Gold gesehen und hat mir ausgesprochen gut gefallen. Schön das Kyoryu Cyan auch nochmal vorkam und nicht einfach vergessen wurde. Vielleicht sehen wir ihn und die anderen ehemaligen Kyoryuger im Staffelfinale wieder, aber das ist nur Wunschdenken von mir.^^

Ich finde die Klamotten die Ucchii trägt ziemlich cool aber der Suit sieht öde aus. Gold und Silber sind einfach ausgelutscht. Das jetzt noch ein Grauer kommt ist auch nicht grad einfallsreicher.

KyoryuGray to Debut in Kyoryuger's 17th Episode

The latest issue of Figure-Oh Magazine reveals that a new member of the Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger will make an appearance this June, as previewed by the magazines last month. He will be called KyoryuGray and will be the partner of one of the 10 Great Zyudenryu, Bunpachy.

Rumors about the upcoming episodes of Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger has surfaced online and it has something to do with KyoryuGold's Armed On and KyoryuGrey's identity.

Take these rumors with a grain of salt.

KyoryuGold's Armed On has something to do with Beast Battery #12 Deinosgrounder. According to the ending theme, Deinosgrounder has the ability to dig, which is precisely Gold's Armed On, it has something to do with digging.

KyoryuGrey is said to be Chinese, this Spirit Ranger from 1500 years ago is also known as the Violent Hero. A master of the Iron-Breaking Fist, he's back to teach the modern Kyoryugers to strengthen their bodies.

Said to be a hard-headed hero, his favorite Iron-Breaking Fist technique is the Violent Charge.
